Automatic age categories
Ages and ASA categories (U9–Masters) are worked out from each date of birth using the December-31 rule. Actual-age mode too.

What is Djaho?
Djaho is cross-country meeting software for Windows, built in South Africa. It covers the whole meeting: entries, finish-line capture, individual and team scoring, relays, printed programmes and results, and live results online.
What software can I use to run a cross-country meeting in South Africa?
Djaho is made for South African clubs, schools and federations. It handles standalone meets and season-long leagues, works out ASA age categories from dates of birth, scores teams and individuals, and prints everything an organiser needs. You can download a free trial or see it in action first.
Does Djaho work without internet at the finish line?
Yes. The whole app runs offline on your own computer, so a remote course is no problem. Two laptops can also be linked over a local network, with one scanning finishers while the other types times. When you are back online you can publish live results to the web.
How does Djaho score cross-country teams?
Team scores use the lowest total of the top scorers, with the number of scorers set per meeting. Ties are broken by ASA count-back or best finisher, relays are supported, and junior and senior sections can have different team sizes. Season-long competitions combine every round into team standings.
Can parents and spectators follow results live?
Yes. Djaho can publish a live results website, to djaho.co.za or your own web host, so spectators can refresh on their phones as each race is finished. Publishing is optional and only happens when you switch it on. Athletes' dates of birth are never shown publicly. Browse recent meetings and results.
Can athletes enter online?
Yes. Djaho supports online entries, which you pull into the meeting with one click. Entry fees can be tracked as paid or unpaid, with options such as EFT, a payment link or paying on the day, and an unpaid-by-team report.
How do I get my athletes into Djaho?
Import them from a CSV file or a PDF start sheet. You map your spreadsheet's own column headings once and Djaho remembers them next time. Athletes are placed into the right race by age and gender, and anyone left over is listed so you can add them in bulk.
Does Djaho run on phones, Mac or the web?
Djaho is a Windows desktop app for Windows 10 and 11 computers. It is not a phone or tablet app. Spectators and parents can view published results on any phone or browser.
Is my athletes' data safe, and does Djaho comply with POPIA?
Everything is stored on your own computer, with no cloud subscription holding your data. Exports are encrypted and dates of birth are never published online. Djaho is designed with POPIA in mind. See the privacy page for details.
